Color pencil on paper

13"4' x 10"4', 10"4' x 13", 13"4' x 10"4'

These artworks attempt to illustrate the fleeting beauty of one lifespan. Humans live intricately detailed experiences, but distortions appear in this detail when we are viewed from afar. There is chaos in space and time outside the perspective of one human’s mind. Jareth the Goblin King, from Jim Henson’s masterpiece film The Labyrinth, is shown in a whirlwind here, to illustrate an example of chaotic life. Time sees humans as flashes of beauty within hazy shape, color, light and form. Just as a toddler rakes crayons across paper, humans live colorfully and chaotically.
