I aimed to capture one's marvel over quiet moments while canoeing. For the water, I laid down a thin layer of paint, aiming for a sense of transparency. Small dots and lines of paint on the lily pads enhance and exaggerate their beauty.
Featuring sights from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, on Sawbill Lake. My family spends every summer in the BWCA, canoeing, exploring, and enjoying the stillness. I captured our love for this place in this original painting reproduced into a high quality greeting card.
