A Burrowing Owl stands strikingly in front of a large, full harvest moon that compositionally functions as the owl's halo. Small dots of purple, orange, yellow, and blue gouache paint on a blue background cast an impression of a starry night sky. Burrowing Owl photo reference captured by Alexis Thompson in Arizona.
